Your Options For Individual Coaching
Most people lead very stressful and busy lives these days. It is often difficult to find the time to schedule appointments for coaching sessions. We have created different options for you to choose from. These options can be applied to either career coaching or executive and management coaching sessions.
Option 1
Meeting in person
We are available to meet with you for single appointments if you would like consultation regarding a specific job search or career management issue, including the creation of a dynamic resume, preparation for an important interview or negotiating an offer.
Sometimes people meet with us to plan out their approach for an important meeting with their boss. Many clients decide to take a more strategic view of their career and create an overall plan in order to make well thought-out choices. An initial assessment meeting will help us put a customized plan together to meet your needs. Initial assessment meetings are usually 1-1/2 hours. You have a choice about the length of subsequent coaching sessions. We offer 1 hour sessions or 1-1/2 hour sessions, based upon your preferences. The average number of face-to-face one-hour sessions to reach your goals ranges from 4 - 12. We would create and implement your plan together based on your objectives, your motivation level, how clear you are in your direction and how much preparation work you have already done.
Option 2
Phone sessions
Long distance clients, or clients with extremely pressured schedules, often choose to work with one of our consultants over the phone. Typically, phone sessions last 1/2 hour. We accomplish a great deal in 1/2 hour - the sessions are very focused and extremely efficient. We have a great deal of experience with facilitating these types of phone meetings. Our recommendation is to meet in person for the initial session (if you live locally), since this process takes more time. If this is not possible, we will make other arrangements for the initial assessment session(s). Phone sessions are scheduled by appointment, and payment would need to be made through the mail prior to the
session(s). Most long distance clients choose to schedule in batches of 3 - 8 appointments and make one payment up front to simplify the process.
Option 3
Combination phone/email sessions
More and more clients are choosing to go through the coaching process utilizing a combination of phone and email sessions. Along with scheduled phone meetings, you also have access to email correspondence during the month of your appointment(s). Payments work the same way as for phone sessions

What is Coaching Anyway?
Coaching is a working relationship where the coach uses specific techniques to guide the client in making career and life choices that are meaningful and purposeful. Coaching is goal and action-oriented. Its focus is on the present and the future - not the past. Coaching can help a person alter the way they view the world and themselves. Ultimately this impacts how the client makes decisions. It's about choice and change.
It's Your Choice
Would you like to gain more control over some aspect of your life or work? Have you wanted to achieve certain goals, but seem to be stuck in a rut? Are you asking yourself "is this all there is?" Are you integrating work into your life in a way that suits your values? Do you simply want more time for yourself and/or your family but can't seem to find it?
Whether you are a corporate manager working 70 hours a week and getting little personal satisfaction from your work, someone who is ready for a change but doesn't know where to start, or someone who is just tired of feeling burnt out, you have some very important choices to make.
You can be the master of your fate, and make conscious decisions about the life you want to create. You have the power to change your life. It's never too late. On the other hand, you can also choose to be a victim, a puppet or a procrastinator forever. It's your choice.
If you want to make conscious decisions, a coach can help you design a new way of working and living. A coach gives you objective and honest feedback that others may not have the courage to give you, and coaches can help you anticipate obstacles and overcome them. Coaches provide tools for change and encouragement to take positive action to build the life and work you want.
The Coach's Role
The role of coach is multi-dimensional. It is our job to listen very carefully, hearing underneath the symptoms, and to help you identify core issues and build a plan based upon the context of your unique life, personality, values and talents. We ask a lot of questions; sometimes tough questions. We might question your assumptions and push back sometimes. We will make agreements about specific actions that you will make to begin the process of change. We believe in balancing the pursuit of dreams with practical choices to achieve your own definition of success. We encourage you to hold yourself accountable.
The Client's Role
Your role is to be open to feedback, fully participate in the entire process, and be accountable for the agreements you make. Ultimately it isn't the coach who makes the process successful - it is fundamentally the responsibility of the client to implement the action plan and move forward in his or her own life. We give the client tools, input, suggestions and advice. The client makes change happen.
